I am witting this letter to let the public know about the lemon service I have received from COMCAST. To start, I had to take the day off to have them connect me up to their service, uhhh will OK, now I started to have problems after the serviceman left with the remote control (come to find out that they gave me a remote control for another service area that did not work with my area) and with the phone service that was not connected up properly, or should I say not disconnected form the old phone company land line and had to call them many times due to the bad internet/phone box “explained below” to come out to fix the matter and had to take the day off from work, so they could come and fix what they did not do properly install the first time. Second, they gave me a bad internet/phone modem that kept cutting on and off at a random intervals, which kept me logging back on the internet and recalling the people who I was talking to, while the service man was out here, he said that its from the phone land line not being disconnected, so, which I had to take another day off so they could replace it. After this was corrected people still said that it’s like talking through a tunnel. 3rd I originally wanted to get the $33 phone, $33 Internet and $33 for the cable. OK they talked me into getting a more expecive package and I did enjoy the package but called them a month later to have it back to the $33 package for the cable. Now, when I received the bill they have not lowered the price. They said that it was not stopped. So at this point I made a decision to have the service stopped and have everything back the way it was before they came out to connect the service. Which was an antenna, I have in my back yard, they cut my cable line to the antenna and connected it to their line cable. As I was trying to explain that they need to fix it back, they ask me what kind of service I had before and I told her that it was connected to an antenna with a cable I bought it at Radio Shack. She then said can we contact them to have the service switch over to them and I tried to tell her that Radio Shack is not a cable service and I was receiving the signals from the air through an antenna. And also she said that if I’m connected to their cable its their cable, now that is stealing cable, which the black cable belongs to me not them, their cable is white. I am now getting the run around or red tape from them of not replacing the cut cable. Now in order to keep my phone number I had to contact my old phone company to have the service back. Its like I have to do their work for their goof up. I don’t believe this ir right or fair if they can’t give good service. All I asked is to have them repair my cable to my antenna and the person I was talking to said that she would have to contact her Supervisor about the problem. She put me on hold and then told me that the Supervisor will call me back today. I still have not heard from the Supervisor and I am getting more upset about the problem. I just hope that you will see this and understand the problems you could go through with them. So folks please be careful when you decide to get the $33 ($36.00) internet, $33 (36.57) phone and $33 ($63.99) plus taxes/surcharge/ and fees ($5.98) cable service, which the service I hear is going up if its has not already went up in price. It may also cost you more that you bargain for to including the days you have to take off for them to connect, disconnect and repair whatever. And now I may have to take another day off to have them fix everything back if I can get them to do that. Just think of the problems that can happen to other people that is living from pay check to pay check missing all of those days, they could lose their house, go to jail for not having the money for child support, get fired from work for missing to many days, etc… Will I’m not that bad but it did hurt me.
